Lunch and Learn - ORCA Research and Lagoon Monitoring
Friday 13 July 2018, 12:00pm - 01:00pm
Contact Erin Lomax, Education Coordinator

In July, the Manatee Center will unveil a new partner exhibit from ORCA (Ocean Research and Conservation Association), highlighting their research and monitoring efforts on the Indian River Lagoon with the Kilroy Network, a research tool which uses state-of-the-art sensors to continuously measure an array of water quality parameters twenty-four hours per day. A Kilroy unit is currently monitoring conditions of the Lagoon right off the Observation Deck at the Manatee Center.

To celebrate our new exhibit, Jessica Espinosa, a field technician and educator from ORCA, will present our July Lunch and Learn to talk about ORCA, ORCA research, and the Kilroy units. Join us for this fascinating presentation about the future of monitoring water quality on the lagoon!

Location 480 N Indian River Dr, Ft Pierce
